After-hours/night time- overtime work and work on major public holidays
After-hours work: A 40% after-hours supplement is paid for employees’ work outside the normal daytime working hours but within the time which is defined as full-time work per month or 100% work. From 12:00 midnight to 7:00 in the morning, the after-hours supplement is 50%.
Daytime working hours of shop assistants are from 9:00 to 18:00 while for office workers they are from 9:00 to 17:00. A full-time position is 167,94 hours per month for shop assistants and 159,27 hours for office workers.
Night time work: Is paid from 12.00 midnight until 7.00 am.
Hourly wages for shop assistants after-hours until 00:00 midnight is 0.8235% of monthly wages for daytime work.
Hourly wages for shop assistants for night time work is 0.8824% during the period from 00:00 midnight to 7:00 in the morning.
Hourly wages for office workers after-hours until 00:00 midnight is 0.875% of monthly wages for daytime work
Hourly wages for office workers for night time work and 0.9375% during the period from 00:00 midnight to 7:00 in the morning.
Overtime is all work undertaken outside normal daytime working hours and in excess of 167,94 hours for shop assistants and 159,27 for office workers. Hourly wages for overtime is 1.0385% of fixed monthly wages.
Overtime according to VR and FA agreement
Overtime is all work undertaken outside normal daytime working hours and in excess of 157.1 hours per month which is considered 100% work. Daytime according to this agreement is 7:00 to 19:00 all weekdays.
Hourly wages for overtime is 1.0385% of fixed monthly wages for those who work 100%.
Work on major public holidays
Work on major public holidays is work on New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Whitsun, 17 June, the August bank Holiday (first Monday in August), Christmas Day and after 12:00 noon on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
All work carried out on major public holidays is paid with hourly wages amounting to 1.375% of monthly wages for daytime work.
